About us

The Association Allah Wallou de Dori (AAWD), based in Burkina Faso, is committed to improving the lives of rural and indigenous women through education, economic empowerment, and capacity building. We focus on equipping women with the skills and knowledge necessary to overcome social and economic barriers. Our mission is to uplift marginalized communities by creating sustainable opportunities for women to thrive, contributing positively to their families and societies. Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and community initiatives, we foster resilience, equality, and empowerment.

Our Objectives

  • To support indigenous women displaced in Ouagadougou due to insecurity, providing them with the resources and training necessary to rebuild their lives.
  • To sensitize women on the importance of valuing their traditional knowledge, turning it into a source of income, while also emphasizing the importance of formal education.
  • To organize women into groups of 25, where they can perfect their skills and learn how to benefit from their expertise in areas such as handicrafts and small business ventures.
  • To open the Andal e Suuraare Center, where women will work on their knowledge-based projects and receive courses in Fulfulde, allowing them to learn how to read and write.
